SPECIAL GUEST

We welcome back Mr. Michael Bennett, travel writer and entrepreneur. Bennett is back from a recent foray to Hot Lanta. He says it’s a moveable city in  the summertime, that everything is conveniently located. Michael Bennett joins Brian during the MIND YO BUSINESS Travel hour.

TRAVEL TIPS

Know before you go-go-go. Familiarize yourself with your destination or destinations. After all, knowledge applied is power. By familiarizing yourself with your destination, you’ll get more enjoyment out of your experience, save precious time and possibly avoid known dangers. As a traveler, it is up to you to become aware of any/all restrictions on items you tae out of the country. Even some over-the-counter medicines are banned in certain countries.

I remember the customs folk in Freeport, Bahamas confiscated some of my broadcasting equipment, simply because I didn’t request permission to bring it in. Customs was polite, but firm. Everything was cool. My items were returned just before I boarded the puddle jumper back to Ft. Lauderdale.

Oh yeah, some things you purchase overseas, may not be allowed in the home of the free, United States.

This isn’t about a home-based business. It does relate to you and your family’s health and privacy issues. Please listen to the interview former Presidential candidate Fred Thompson had recently with a Patient Rights Advocate. Please comment here on the blog after you hear what she has to say.

Listen to the Betsy McCaughey interview.  Unbelievable!!!!

I have just received an email from a friend who heard an interview on the Fred Thompson Show (7/16/09) from a Patient Rights Advocate, Betsy McCaughey. When I checked it out (and you can hear it, yourself), it chilled me to the bone.

PLEASE, PLEASE try to get into it and hear what she has to say!! She has read all 1400 pages of  the bill and points out many things that you will be shocked at, including whether or not, at our age, there’s any point of having any medical care for certain conditions to help us live longer. You will not believe what she has to say!

We must get the word out, because surely Obama and his administration don’t want us to know what is really going on, and they can ramrod this one through Congress just like they did the stimulus pkg.

Hoping you can help me out with an upcoming segment on the talk show. I’m scouring the nation looking for the best “All you can eat” restaurants. Obviously, I haven’t seen them or eaten in them all, so your eyes and taste buds are being put to the test.

I have a few categories:

  1. Seafood
  2. Barbecue
  3. Breakfast/Brunch

Please post your choice(s) in the comments section of this Post. Your answers will be part of the Saturday July 18, 2009 MIND YO BUSINESS talk show, during the Travel Hour, 9am-10am [Mississippi Riverboat Time].

MIND YO BUSINESS on The Power, XM Radio, Channel 169 and now on the internet through www.xmradio.com, 9:00am-11:00am [Eastern Time]. Toll-free call in number (866) 801-8255.
